A lot of people are not aware that Roy is actually a cinema junkie but he hates going to cinema with me because………… i always doze off half way….. Roy and I met when i was on an international assignment in the Philippines many years back, the 3 years assignment is probably one of the best in my working history! Well the fact that i was able to work from home and mostly i’m “holidaying” in a resorts while taking calls and meetings by the pool! The first year was tough and challenging, adjusting to the culture and the usual work issues but once i get the team up to speed everything was a breeze. I had about 18 vacations within the 36 months, not too bad ehh…. Exploring the beaches and exclusive villas in the Philippines was my favourite. However, due to the failure to identify a suitable replacement, the last two months of my stay the tough transition caused hectic schedule. That’s when i learned that he’s a cinema junkie, that’s also when he discover that i dooooooze most of the time in the cinema not unless it’s my movie choice. Our movie preference is so different, cartoon is always my favourite where i can stay till the end.
I’ve always look forward to bringing our bub for movie since she’s a few month old, our very first movie in the cinema is Storks. Then, Sing, Trolls, Secret of Life of Pets, Moana, The Baby Boss and now the most anticipated of all…. Beauty and the Beast as well as Smurfs! Another one of Lil’ S fave is Minion – so we will never ever miss the upcoming Despicable Me this coming June. Though we never really have much problem with Lil’ S when it comes to cinema, but with kids they are pretty unpredictable! So if ever we get tantrum, we hate to disturb others so we decided to try the family friendly cinema when we saw their school holiday pass, we didnt get the pass instead just we bought a single entry ticket to try the family friendly session and we watch the popular Moana! One of our friends gave us a sinemia coupon which looks super exciting, and makes going to the cinema much more affordable for us as a family.
It was a very last mins plan where we just bought the tickets just an hour before the show at One Utama. Since Daddy is in town (working from home) for a week, we didn’t have much time to go for a break so we were looking for activity where we can have some quality bonding time and MOVIE is just perfect! We love how the lights are half dimmed and the sound is slightly lowered with stroller parking space right next to the entrance! I have yet to see the baby changing facilities as mentioned in some of their advertisement… Not just the environment is perfect for children, the price tag is also very friendly to our pocket… We only pay RM 20 for 2 adults in a couple seat, this is the first time where we didn’t get a seperate seat for Lil’ S. We notice that she’s usually quite clingy and she prefer lap seat because of her height, she don’t get a good view when she’s seating on her own. I was very sceptical in the beginning, very worry about the space constraints with three of us sharing the seat but surprisingly it was perfect! She loves how she’s seating in between us and ability yo lean to either one of us whenever she want. Not too bad ehh for RM 20! Which in the past we pay RM20 to RM24/ ticket equivalent to almost RM 70 for 2 of us! The only draw back is that they have less family friendly options after the school holiday, usualy just Sat or Sun show… hope they have more weekdays session, perfect for stay-home mum like me!
Beside treats for children, TGV has also launched a treat for us, ADULT!
